Failure to Perform Simple Arithmatic

The cruise book has been my baby. I've been planning a long post about it when I finished it, which was supposed to be tonght. I just ran a proof off, and I didn't see any more typos.

So I ran back through the chain of emails about the project, looking for where to submit it. I discovered something interesting. I'm responsible for creating pages 133-164 of the book. When I started the project, I looked at those numbers and concluded that I had twenty-five pages to create.

Sadly, 164-133=31. So now I have to come up with six more pages in a rather compressed timeline. This makes me sad. And worried.

1 If you'd proudly presented your 25 pages without double-checking this could have damaged your reputation as "The smartest Marine in the squadron".  I expect you would have gotten more teasing about it than most would.

It would have been bad. Already the people that saw my proofreading copy are all complaining about the relative balance of photos between the three different communities. *sigh* Can't please all the people all the time.

Additionally, I didn't get nearly as many photos from other people as I wanted. So I've got lots of shots of my liberty groups, but not to many shots of other people on liberty. So there are more photos of the guys from my shop than one might think fair. I'm sure I'll get razzed about that.
