I had the blog time zone set to California Time ever since I was in Cali. Whoops. All my post times have been off by several hours, and I didn't notice.

I had to fudge all the timestamps on my travelog posts. The blog software has a built-in time zone system, but it couldn't deal with the International Date Line crossing I did. So my posts were showing up out-of-order, and I was pretty confused. Which isn't a hard status to achieve, seeing as how I'm sleep-deprived, jet-lagged, caloric-limited, and dehydrated.

I wonder if I should create a new "Health" category. Or maybe I should call it "Broke". That's a joke, see. By our slang, Marines don't get injured, they get "broke". Always with that tense. So if you see a guy show up to formation with a cast, you say "Dammit Leyva, how did you get broke?"

In astronomy, when a new telescope goes online, it's a big deal. Astronomers call the first picture from a new telescope "First Light" and get all choked up about it.
