Civic Subordination

Hooray! I am now the proud owner of a two-door 1995 Honda Civic. It's blue with a yellow lightning bolt painted across both sides. Yes, really.

UPDATE: It's actually only got a bolt on the passenger side. Shows you how well I inspected it pre-purchase.

Contest idea: In the comments, how much do you think I paid for a 1995 two-door Civic hatchback, with 81000 km on the odometer?

You really like cars with yellow on them don't you?

I'm looking forward to seeing a photo, too.

3 No photos yet, because it's been raining for two days now. I'll take a few shots when the sun peeps out again.

4 Ummm, I'm going to say $1000, or what ever the equivalent is in yen.

5 I'll go with $2000, you big spender, you.

6 Heh. Fiddy bucks. $50.

7 I'd say that was a good deal!

8 Hmm. Apparently the car is in poorer condition than I was visualizing. Then again, at fifty bucks I doubt you care.

9 I was going to guess $500.  I really am curious what a $50 car is like.

10 As noted, it's low milage, like every car on this island. (The salt air destroys vehicles before the engine goes, generally.) It's got a bunch of dents, the rear shocks are in sad shape, the sound system has a loose wire so usually only the left-hand speakers work. But it runs fine, is waterproof, and even still has AC. I got such a good deal because the seller had twelve hours to get rid of it, or he'd have to pay for disposal.
