Werner Herzog is a movie director. He has chosen to narrarate several famous children's books: Curious George, Madeline, Mike Mulligan & His Steam Shovel, and Where's Waldo. Much hilarity ensues, as he inserts his opinions on the symbolism and moral instruction.

I am downright annoyed I just became of this today. It's a BBC advertisment for the 2008 Olympics, featuring the main characters of The Journey to the West.
And if you've never read a translation of Journey, you are missing out on one of the classics of great literature.

This is the best ad I've seen in quite a while. It's obvious that the new Burger King "breakfast muffin sandwich" is a total rip-off McDonald's Egg McMuffin. Rather than disguise that inconvenient fact, BK makes a joke of it. Well done!

The university's student paper, which I've been calling the "Tri-Weekly Bird-Cage Liner" for years now, runs a police blotter. Public Safety seems to spend most of their time mediating boyfriend/girlfriend disputes, collaring drunk students, and taking note of stolen laptops.
In Wednesday's paper there was a doozie.
2/25 - A person used false credit cards for tuition payments.
Now, using stolen or forged financial instruments is certainly a bad thing. But leaving morals aside, there is a practical matter: if you think using a stolen credit card to pay your tuition is a good idea, then maybe you're not really college material to begin with.
