I was supposed to pile into my sister's minivan this morning, with five of us making a four-day trip to Illinois to visit the grandparents and an aunt, uncle, and several miscellaneous cousins. It's not happening, because my brother-in-law is suffering from food poisoning. So Dad and I are likely to go out, just the two of us, in the first week of the new year.
